ABSTRACT
The working group of the World Health Organization (WHO) updated its classification
of soft tissue and bone tumors in 2002, and modifications were made primarily to the
nomenclature for soft tissue neoplasms. This review presents the imaging features,
patient demographics, and clinicopathological findings for benign and malignant skeletal
and smooth muscle tumors using the current WHO classification system.
