Enuresis und funktionelle Harninkontinenz

Einleitung

Kinder mit Harninkontinenz stehen in ihrem Lebensalltag häufig unter einem erheblichen Leidensdruck, der durch frustrane Hilfsangebote oder erfolglose Therapiemaßnahmen nicht selten zusätzlich verstärkt wird. In der Kinder- und jugendärztlichen Praxis kommt es darauf an, mit möglichst einfachen, wenig belastenden und nicht invasiven Untersuchungen die richtige Differenzialdiagnose zu stellen und den Behandlungsweg mit der größten Erfolgschance zu finden.

In den letzten Jahrzehnten haben sich die Behandlungsmöglichkeiten erheblich verbessert. Dazu trugen nicht nur neue Medikamente oder Therapiemethoden, sondern auch ein besseres pathophysiologisches Verständnis von (Entwicklungs-)Störungen der Blasenkontrolle und der Blasenfunktion bei.
