Zusammenfassung

Sowohl im häuslichen als auch im stationären Bereich berichten Pflegende und Betreuende, wie schwierig die ausreichende Versorgung von Menschen mit Demenz ist. Neben kognitiven Problemen erschweren Schluckstörungen oder Immobilität die Nahrungsaufnahme der Betroffenen. In diesem Beitrag werden Ansätze zur Sicherstellung einer bedürfnisorientierten und bedarfsgerechten Ernährung bei Demenz aufgezeigt. Dabei wird deutlich, dass die Maßnahmen weit über den Tellerrand hinausgehen.
