Objectives: The performed study followed the application of suggestive and cognitive methods for the improvement of memory and attention, comprising three independent variables such as: barock music versus rhythmic music and placebo compound. The dependent variables comprised into study have been: the visually memory, the semantic memory, the contextually memory, the focused attention and distributive attention. Material and method: At the experiment attended 260 depressed patients, having 22–65 years old. In comparison with a similar experiment applied to a group of healthy subjects, the results revealed the following conclusions. Conclusions: 1. For contextually and visually memory the placebo effect has healthy influents both to healthy subjects and to depressed ones. 2. Baroc music registers the smallest values to depressed subjects but the healthy subjects improve significant the semantic memory. 3. The rhythmic music improves the attention focused to healthy subjects and those depressed enhances the values close to all variables, exception making the contextually memory which register decreased values. 4. The focused attention registers increased values for operational coefficient compared with distributive attention to all independent variables. 5. Polarization attention is associated with commutativity decrease and vice versa (rhythmic music increased concentrated attention and the placebo effect increase distributivity).
