Zusammenfassung
Epilepsien zählen zu den häufigsten neurologischen Erkrankungen. Menschen, die an
einer Epilepsie leiden, haben zudem ein erhöhtes Risiko für psychiatrische Komorbiditäten.
Am häufigsten sind hier Angsterkrankungen und Depressionen. Unter den epilepsieassoziierten
Psychosen stellen die durch Anfälle getriggerten postiktalen Psychosen mit ca. 60
bis 70 % die häufigste Variante dar (Stefan u. Pauli 2008). Therapeutisch ist bei
Patienten mit Epilepsie eine interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit aus Neurologen, Psychiatern,
Psychotherapeuten und Neuropsychologen aufgrund der facettenreichen Beschwerden und
unterschiedlichen Ursachen der Symptome dieser Patienten unumgänglich.
