Abstract

Due to the limited extent of vestibular bone as well as frequent fenestrations or/and buccal dehiscenses, gingival recessions may occur in conjunction with or after orthodontic tooth movement. Plastic periodontal surgery can stop the progression of gingival recession. This case report shows 2 promising methods of how to cope with gingival Miller class 1 and 2 recessions. Today, evidence-based, minimally invasive methods of plastic periodontal surgery are able to repair or regenerate lost structures and improve functional and aesthetic mucogingival conditions.
