We report an 8-year-old boy who was referred to our hospital because of severe chest pain. The GP had done a Troponin T Quick test and suspected myocardial infarction. A year before he became known to us, he was diagnosed of having Mb Duchenne.

Symptoms of angina are known in patients with Mb. Duchenne due to CMP. Patients with Mb Duchenne usually show signs of CMP in the second decade of life, often they remain asymptomatic for some more years. To our knowledge, this is the youngest patient with severe signs of angina and myocardial infarction. In the following months, the boy presented several times with symptoms of angina and fittings signs in the ECG and the Troponin T tests. By the age of 10 years and 9 months, he had developed very severe dilated CMP. We will present the findings here.

This patient is unusual due to his severe symptoms especially in relation to his young age and due to his fast progression to end stage dilated CMP.
