Neue Entwicklungen in der Klassifikation maligner Tumorerkrankungen

Zusammenfassung

Die Begeisterung über die potenziellen diagnostischen und daraus resultierenden therapeutischen Möglichkeiten der personalisierten Medizin hat vielleicht den Blick darauf etwas getrübt, welches Maß an „individualisierter Therapie“ schon heute durch die konsequente Anwendung verschiedener Tumorklassifikationen möglich sind. Die Möglichkeiten sollen für verschiedene Tumorklassifikationen – insbesondere für die TNM-Klassifikation – kurz aufgezeigt und hinsichtlich aktueller und zukünftiger Neuerungen diskutiert werden.

Abstract

In recent years, considerable enthusiasm has come up as to the diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities of personalized medicine. This enthusiam has put out of focus to which extent individualized therapy today is possible by consequently using different tumor classifications. Theses possibilities will be demonstrated briefly, especially with respect to the TNM classification, and will be discussed with regard to actual and future innovations.
