Zusammenfassung

Hinsichtlich einiger Faktoren, wie z. B. dem Zahnsubstanzverlust, ausgedehnten Restaurationen und parodontalem Abbau, stellt die Behandlung eines erwachsenen Patienten den Behandler vor besondere Herausforderungen und bedarf einer genauen kieferorthopädischen Behandlungsplanung und -mechanik ohne unerwünschte Nebenwirkungen. Im folgenden Fallbericht wird die Korrektur einer Klasse-II/2-Behandlung im Erwachsenenalter mittels Hebelarmmechanik erläutert. Der Lückenschluss wird mittels segmentierter Bogentechnik, einer altbewährten kieferorthopädischen Behandlungsmethode, durchgeführt. Durch Implantation im Unterkiefermolarenbereich wird das Fehlen eines weiteren Zahnes ergänzt.

Abstract

With respect to some factors, for example tooth loss, extensive restorations and parodontal reduction, orthodontic treatment of adults requires special attention regarding exact treatment planning and treatment mechanic concepts in order to avoid undesirable side effects. In the following report the correction of Class II/2 treatment in adults will be illustrated, using a cantilever arm mechanic. Space closure will be accomplished by means of the segmented arch technique, a well-established orthodontic treatment method. Another missing tooth is replaced by an implant.
