Hämoperitoneum beim Pferd

Unter einem Hämoperitoneum versteht man die Ansammlung von Blut in der Bauchhöhle, die durch eine intraabdominale Blutung entsteht [7], [19] . Je nach Ausmaß des Blutverlusts kann dies eine lebensbedrohliche Situation darstellen [5], [7] . Es gibt unterschiedliche Ursachen, die zu einem Hämoperitoneum führen können, wobei die Identifikation der Ursache schwierig sein kann [5] . Neben Einzelfallberichten gibt es verschiedene Fallserien, die Ursachen, Diagnosestellung, Behandlung und Prognose für Kurz- und Langzeitüberleben beschreiben [5], [7], [19] . Vor allem die Prognose ist deutlich abhängig von der Schwere der Blutung und der auslösenden Ursache [7] .
