Fazit

Mit Zunahme der endovaskulären Aortenchirurgie werden Gefäßmediziner in Zukunft immer häufiger mit Endoleckagen und Versagen der primären endovaskulären Therapie konfrontiert werden. Während Typ-I- und Typ-III-Endoleckagen unmittelbar versorgungspflichtig sind, muss man bei Typ-II-Endoleckagen eine differenzierte Strategie anwenden.

Bei der Vielfalt von Therapieoptionen, die heute zur Verfügung stehen, ist es für die behandelnden Ärzte von essenzieller Bedeutung, einen eigenen, evidenzbasierten Behandlungsalgorithmus zu entwickeln, der die Besonderheiten und Möglichkeiten der eigenen Einrichtung berücksichtigt.
