Zusammenfassung

Die Ruptur des ulnaren Seitenbandes am Daumengrundgelenkist eine häufige Verletzung der Hand. Sie kommt besonders beim Skifahren (Skidaumen), aber auch anderen Sportartenvor. Diegenaue Kenntnis derAnatomie ist erforderlich, um in der klinischen Diagnostik das Verletzungsausmaß zu eruieren. Eine Röntgenaufnahme ist unabdingbar. Liegt eine komplette Ruptur oder ein knöcherner Ausriss vor, so ist die Operation das Mittel der Wahl. Die postoperativen Ergebnissesind in aller Regel sehrzufriedenstellend.

Summary

Rupture of the ulnar collateral ligament of the carpometacarpal joint of’the thumb is a common hand injury. It occurs particularly often when skiing (skier’s thumb), but also in other types of sport. Accurate knowledge of the anatomy is needed to establish the degree of injury for the clinical diagnosis. X-raysare indispensable. If there is complete rupture or avulsion of the ligament, then surgery is the best course. The postoperative results are generally most satisfactory.
