Secondary Ossification Centre at the Acetabular Dorsal Rim in a Dog

The mineralisation of a secondary ossification centre, in the formation of the canine acetabulum, is discussed. Its role in the subluxation of the femoral head in hip dysplasia is put up for conjecture.
