The Levels of the Plasma Coagulation Factors in the Post-Operative Period

Summary
In the post-operative period the levels of factor I, VII—X, VIII, IX and X as well as the platelets are increased. In the immediate post-operative period there is a decrease in the levels of factors II and XI. The significance of these changes in relation to venous thrombosis is discussed.
