Introduction:

Caused by rising of cardiovascular diseases the anticoagulant and antplatelet therapy is necessary in many people. Goal to minimise the risk of athromboembolic episode is contrary to the ongoing effort of the surgeon to minimi se the risk of intra- and postoperative blond loss. This is a bin challenge during surgeries and in the postoperative episode. Vitamin-K-antagonists and factor-Xa-inhibitors are anticoagulant drugs commonly used. Antplatelet therapy will be implementiert with acetylsalicylacid and clopidogrel.

Methods:

This was a retrospectiv series of 358 patients with basal cell carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas between 1.20.2017 – 30.9.2018. After tumour resection we closed the skin defects in all with different regional flaps. The patients were median 77 years old (Male 208). In 64,535% of the patients was perioperative the anticoagulant and antiplatelet therapy with oral drugs necessary. The other patients (35,5%) were given prophylaxis with low-molecular-weight heparine. O,9% of the patients with blond thinner had major bleedings and 7,8% minor bleedings.7,1% of patients without blood thinner had smaller bleedings.

Results:

This means that patients taking anticoagulant and antplatelet medication can also be treated with regional flaps.
