At the end of that period another survey evaluated the estimated skills gain after the rotation. To assess the effectiveness regarding the teaching of practical skills during rotation period, a survey was developed, which was given to students before and after the tutorials.
Results Students evaluated an significant increase of practical skills after finishing the ORL-rotation, depending on the topic. The overall result showed that student’s expectation’s were excelled. The estimated gain of knowledge and the focus on ORL-topics were evaluated in a very positive way.
Conclusion The Freiburg ORL education system focuses on mediation of practical skills. The result underline that it is already adapted to the requirements of the Masterplan 2020.
