Introduction In this study we followed the PNIF changes and the relationship between patient satisfaction and PNIF values after septoplasty surgery.

Material and Methods We have enrolled 48 patients diagnosed with septal deviation and 32 patients without septal deviation. NOSE and PNIF were evaluated preoperatively in a first day of surgical intervention and 14 days postoperatively both groups of patients.

Results A significant correlation was found from the statistical viewpoint of the Pearson analysis between NOSE and PNIF scores (p = 0.03). A moderate correlation was identified between these two variables (r = 0.34).

Conclusions The NOSE and PNIF scores showed a statistically significant difference in the septal deviation group compared to the control group. The anterior and anterior-posterior septal deviations presented high NOSE scores and low PNIF scores.
