„Psychosen“ beschreiben diagnostisch heterogene ­Störungsbilder, die in unterschiedlichem Maß durch Wahn, Halluzinationen und ­formale Denkstörungen definiert sind. Ihre Genese ist aufgrund ihrer ­komplexen multifaktoriellen Natur noch nicht ­vollständig ­verstanden. Während neurobiologisch und psychosozial ­orientierte ­ätiologische Modelle früher eher nebeneinander standen, sind sie heute eng ­miteinander verzahnt, wobei ihr Anteil, je nach ­Störungsbild, ­unterschiedlich stark gewichtet wird.
