Q-Fieber – Standard und neue Ansätze der Diagnostik

Q-Fieber wird durch Coxiella burnetii hervorgerufen. Die Übertragung auf den Menschen erfolgt überwiegend aerogen durch die Inhalation eingetrockneter infektiöser Ausscheidungen von Tieren (z. B. Schafe, Ziegen, Rinder). Knapp die Hälfte der Infizierten zeigt grippeähnliche Symptome, seltener liegt eine Pneumonie oder Hepatitis vor. Eine chronische Verlaufsform ist sehr selten.
