Die alkoholische Hepatopathie kann bei vergleichbar hohem Alkoholkonsum sehr unterschiedlich stark ausgeprägt sein. Neben direkt-toxischen Effekten scheinen weitere Faktoren für den Grad der Leberschädigung verantwortlich zu sein. Jetzt wurde untersucht, welche Rolle die Darmflora dabei spielt.
