Um die 60 Publikationen befassen sich mit der atlantoaxialen Instabilität und ihrer Therapie. Eine generelle Empfehlung für die ideale Behandlungsmethode kann daraus aber nicht abgeleitet werden. Es muss für jeden Patienten individuell entschieden werden, von welcher Technik er am meisten profitiert.
