Kann eine postpartale Depression (PPD) auch den Vater eines Kindes treffen? Eine Frage, die selten gestellt wird. Dabei deuten aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse darauf hin, dass auch Männer im Rahmen der Geburt ihrer Kinder an Depressionen erkranken. Was dahintersteckt und welche Aufgaben sich dadurch für betreuende Hebammen ergeben, beleuchtete unsere Autorin im Rahmen ihres M.Sc.-Studiums an der fhg Innsbruck. Ein Blick auf die Forschungslage aus der Genderperspektive.
