Etwa jeder 5. Asthma-Patient hat Beschwerden, obwohl die Therapie mit inhalativen Kortikosteroiden und ß2-Sympathomimetika ausgereizt wird. Der monoklonale Antikörper Dupilumab hemmt aktivierte T-Zellen, indem er Interleukin 4 und 13 blockiert. Seine Wirksamkeit bei therapieresistentem Asthma mit und ohne Eosinophilie wurde nun belegt.
