Um Patienten mit subakromialem Impingement-Syndrom oder partieller asymptomatischer Rotatorenmanschetten-Ruptur zu behandeln, ist Physiotherapie genauso geeignet wie eine chirurgische Intervention. Nur wenn ein abgestuftes dreimonatiges Übungsprogramm nicht zur Symptomlinderung führt, sollte operiert werden.
