Fusion of Endoscopic Surgical Field and Microsurgical Dissection: Key Steps to Preserve Critical Perforators and Neural Structures in Endoscopic Removal of Meningiomas
Authors
Endoscopic transnasal surgery provides direct surgical trajectory for parasellar meningiomas. Nevertheless, these tumors usually involve critical perforators and neural structures, bringing the risk of postoperative neurological deficits. In this video, the key steps for successful tumor removal are shared through two illustrative cases including planum sphenoidale meningioma and posterior clinoid meningioma; both involved critical neuroanatomies and thus meticulous dissection was needed.
