The transpalpebral approach provides a minimally invasive corridor to the anterior skull base and temporal lobe. It has been described for anterior circulation aneurysms and skull base tumors. Recently, it has also been described for epileptogenic pathology in adults. We describe our experience utilizing this approach in a 13-year-old male suffering from epilepsy. To our knowledge, this is the first published case utilizing the transpalpebral approach for an epileptogenic lesion in the pediatric population.
