Rotura Infrecuente del Menisco Externo tipo “RAMP-Like” Asociada a Rotura del LCA: Revisión de la Literatura y Reporte de un Caso

Resumen

Presentamos un caso de incidencia poco común de desgarro tipo "RAMP-like" del menisco externo en un paciente masculino de 21 años, en el cual se realizó una reparación con suturas meniscales verticales. Se trata de una rotura escasamente descrita en la literatura y que se asocia a lesiones del ligamento cruzado anterior (LCA).

Presentamos nuestra experiencia con un caso tratado en nuestro centro, donde identificamos esta lesión distintiva en el cuerno posterior del menisco lateral. Aunque la Resonancia Magnética (RM) puede indicar acumulación de líquido posterior al cuerno posterior del menisco lateral en un patrón longitudinal, el diagnóstico definitivo se establece mediante artroscopia. El tratamiento elegido consistió en cerrar el defecto utilizando suturas meniscales verticales. Consideramos que se necesitan más estudios para determinar el enfoque de manejo óptimo.
