Ventral C1-C2 Kissing Neurofibroma: Technical Nuances on Skull Base Approach and Bilateral Cord Rotation with Maximizing Safe Resection Corridors
We share our experience of a large ventral cervical-medullary neurofibroma resection in a 34-year-old female presenting with NF 1 with multiple cutaneous nodules and progressive myelopathic symptoms. The patient underwent a bilateral far lateral approach with C1 laminectomy in the prone position. The video discusses the technical nuances of tumor dissection from the brainstem-spinal cord, highlighting cord rotation to maximize lateral corridors. Gross total resection was achieved with progressively improving exams on 1-year follow-up.
