Functioning Adenoma with Cavernous Invasion—Managing Cavernous Sinus Disease as New Faculty

Expanded sphenoidotomy performed. Sphenoid portion of the adenoma removed with two suction techniques. Cavernous sinus exposed. Tumor resection is continued around paraclival carotid. Medical cavernous wall is opened and tumor removed from superior and inferior cavernous compartments. No cerebrospinal fluid leak identified. Carotid covered with free mucosal graft from middle turbinate.
