Internal Carotid Artery Injury in Transsphenoidal Surgery—How to Avoid and Cope with Serious Complication, Japanese Single-Center Experience, And Experts' Opinion
At a Japanese one high-volume center, we experienced five cases (0.68%) of ICA injury out of 740 cases from 2018 to 2022.
At first, we show how to stop bleeding when ICA injury occurred. Then we analyze the cause of five ICA injury cases, what we should do and what we should not based of the experience of experts.
