Zusammenfassung

Die zunehmenden technischen Möglichkeiten der modernen Chirurgie ermöglichen heute eine differenzierte Versorgung der Radiusköpfchenfraktur sowie deren Begleitverletzungen. In der vorliegenden Arbeit erfolgt eine Darstellung der aktuellen Therapierichtlinien sowie die Entwicklung von Algorithmen zur Diagnostik und Behandlung der Radiusköpfchenfraktur. Insbesondere wird auf die Problemstellung der Indikation zur Radiusköpfchenresektion versus rekonstruktive Maßnahmen unter Berücksichtigung der biomechanischen Grundlagen eingegangen.

Radial Head Fractures - Concepts of Treatment

The increasing technological possibilities of modern surgery nowadays make a differenciated treatment of radial head fractures as well as their accompanying soft tissue injuries possible. The manuscript in hand presents current therapy concepts as well as the development of algorithms for diagnosis and treatment of radial head fractures. Special attention is given to the problem of indication for resection of the radial head vs. reconstructive procedures considering the biomechanical basis.
