Abstract

We report about a 57-year-old female patient with multiple livid red skin infiltrations in the area of both ear helices. A reactive angioendotheliomatosis was diagnosed histologically, immunhistologically and by means of electron microscopy showing proliferating endothelial cells with intravasal fibrin thrombus. Different therapeutic concepts could not influence the course of the disease distinctly as the primary or accompanying illness could not be found. We give a review of literature regarding benign and malignant forms of angioendotheliomatosis.
