Der Andocknagel - eine neue Möglichkeit zur Behandlung der periprothetischen Oberschenkelfraktur bei liegender Endoprothese der Hüfte?

Zusammenfassung

An unserer Abteilung wurden in einem 3-Jahres-Zeitraum 31 Patienten mit peri- oder subprothetischen Frakturen bei liegender Endoprothese der Hüfte operativ versorgt. Die Komplikationsrate lag in unserem Krankengut, übereinstimmend mit der Literatur, bei 35 %. Die Autoren zeigen, dass in Abhängigkeit der altersstrukturellen Entwicklung der Bevölkerung in Österreich mit einem deutlichen Ansteigen solcher Verletzungen in der Zukunft zu rechnen ist, so dass im Zusammenhang mit der erwähnten hohen Komplikationsrate neue prinzipielle Ansätze zur Therapie gefunden werden müssen.

Abstract

During a time span of 3 years, 31 patients with peri- or subprosthetic fracture after hip arthroplasty were treated surgically at our department. The rate of postoperative complications was 35 % and correlates with the rate published in scientific literature. We demonstrate, that, due to the demographic developments in Austria, a significant increase of such injuries is to be expected. For this reason, and because of the high rate of postoperative complications, new therapeutic approaches have to be developed.
