BNS-Anfälle nach Hirnblutung - Arnica und Phosphorus

Zusammenfassung

Bericht über ein Kleinkind mit cerebralem Anfallsleiden (BNS und Grand mal) nach massiver postnataler Hirnblutung. Die kleine Patientin kommt wegen manifester Verhaltensauffälligkeiten (Hyperaktivität, Irritabilität, Schlafstörungen) unter antiepileptischer Therapie mit Luminal^® (= Phenobarbital) und Vigabatrin (= Sabril). Da bekannt ist, dass Phenobarbital u.a. oben genannte psychische Störungen verursacht, erfolgt der homöopathische Therapieversuch. Die Antiepileptika wurden vorsichtig abgesetzt und gleichzeitig mit Homöopathica - Arnica und Phosphorus - therapiert. Das Verhalten der kleinen Patientin normalisierte sich ebenso wie das vorher hochpathologische EEG, und es traten keine neuen Anfälle auf.

Summary

Report about a 2 year old girl suffering from severe epileptic seizures (BNS and GM) as sequale of a postnatal intracerebral haemorrhage. Under the treatment with antiepileptical drugs (Luminal^® = Phenobarbital and Vigabatrin = Sabril) the child developed a increasing amount of behavioral side effects including permanent hyperactivity, irritability and severe insomnia. This side effects of Phenobarbital ist commonly reported. For that the child was treated with the homeopathic remedies Arnicaand Phosphorus and the antiepileptical drugs could be removed totaly. As a result seizures the behaviored side effects disappeared with a normal psychointellectual and somatic development and also no further epileptic seizures occured. The EEG shows also no further hypersynchronic activity (HSA).
