Publication History

Introduction

Primary small cell carcinoma of the uterus is a rare and aggressive tumor. It occurs more often in the uterine cervix than in the corpus. The reported relative frequency is approximately 0.5 - 6 % of all cervical carcinomas. Descriptions of its MR appearance in the literature have been limited with a uniform enlargement of the uterus. The present case illustrates a different MR appearance of this rare disease.
