Zusammenfassung
Rumänien strebt den EU-Beitritt im Jahr 2007 an. Hierzu sind umfangreiche Transformationen
der Gesundheits- und Sozialpolitik des Landes notwendig. Insbesondere die rumänische
Psychiatrie hat noch einen langen Weg nach Europa vor sich. In diesem Beitrag wird
nach einer Analyse der historischen Gewordenheit und der gegenwärtigen Situation der
rumänischen Psychiatrie beispielhaft aufgezeigt, wie die psychiatrische Versorgung
in Rumänien durch ausländische Hilfe von Nichtregierungsorganisationen (NGO) verbessert
und auf dem Weg nach Europa unterstützt werden kann.
Abstract
Romania wants to become an EU-Member-State in 2007. For this purpose extensive transformations
of the health and social policy are necessary. In particular the Romanian psychiatry
has a long way to go to Europe. After an analysis of the historical development and
the current situation of the Romanian psychiatry we want to show exemplarily how it
could be possible to improve the psychiatric care with the help of foreign NGO's and
how to support Romania on its way to Europe.
