Postendodontische Versorgung in klinischen Grenzsituationen - Ein Fallbericht

Zusammenfassung

Nicht selten weisen einwurzelige Zähne nach endodontischer Behandlung Kanäle mit extrem weitem Lumen, kraterförmigem Wurzeleingang und dünner Kanalwand auf. Nach Versorgung solcher Zähne mit konventionellen Stiftaufbauten und Kronen kommt es häufig zu Entzementierungen oder auch zu Wurzelfrakturen. Für solche klinischen Grenzsituationen kann die Versorgung mit einer speziellen Kronenform, die die Eigenschaften von Wurzelstiftkappe und Stumpfaufbau in sich vereinigt, die Lösung sein.

Summary

It is not seldom that single-rooted teeth after an endodontical treatment exhibit a wide pulp chamber with wide root canal accesses and thin root canals walls. Generally such a clinical case necessitates a prosthetical restoration of the remaining structures for a long-term success. The prosthetical treatment with conventional root canal posts and crowns often lead to decementation of the restoration or shattering of the thin canal walls. The restoring of such a situation with a single crown supported by a root canal post an a root cap and a core, on which the porcelain will be placed seems to be an favorable therapy alternative.
