Pankreatitis: Von der chronischen Entzündung zum Karzinom

Die Komplikationen der chronischen Pankreatitis (CP) wie exokrine Insuffizienz, Gangerweiterung, Verkalkungen und Diabetes mellitus treten nach Erkrankungsbeginn mit zunehmender Häufigkeit auf. Bei diesen Patienten wurde auch der Übergang in ein Pankreaskarzinom (PaCa) beschrieben. Allerdings liegt nur bei wenigen Prozenten der Patienten mit PaCa zuvor eine CP vor. In dieser Übersicht soll die Frage geklärt werden, ob man bestimmte Risikofaktoren identifizieren kann, welche genetischen Mechanismen hierbei eine Rolle spielen und ob man dies rechtzeitig diagnostizieren kann.
