Der kieferorthopädische Lückenschluss aus Sicht des Patienten

Zusammenfassung

Anhand eines standardisierten Fragenbogens wurden 54 Patienten gebeten, das kieferorthopädische Behandlungsergebnis und den Therapieverlauf zu beurteilen. Insgesamt 39 Patienten (m = 19, w = 20) antworteten auf die gestellten Fragen (Rücklaufrate: 72 %). Dabei erfolgte bei 20 (51 %) Patienten der kieferorthopädische Lückenschluss im Frontzahngebiet und bei 19 (49 %) Patienten im Seitenzahngebiet. Nach Auswertung der Fragebogen kann gezeigt werden, dass die überwiegende Mehrheit von 32 (82 %) Patienten mit dem Behandlungsergebnis sehr zufrieden war. Für 34 (87 %) Patienten führte die Behandlung zu einer deutlichen ästhetischen Verbesserung. Der Therapieverlauf wurde mehrheitlich positiv bewertet. Sowohl zwischen männlichen und weiblichen Patienten als auch zwischen frontalem und seitlichem Lückenschluss konnten keine signifikanten Unterschiede (p < 0,05) festgestellt werden.

Abstract

With the help of standardized questionnaires 54 patients were asked to assess the outcome and course of orthodontic treatment. 39 (m = 19, f = 20) patients answered (response rate: 72 %). The orthodontic space closure was achieved in 20 (51 %) cases in the frontal and in 19 (49 %) in the lateral segment. Most of the patients were very content with the outcome of orthodontic treatment (32; 82 % patients). In 34 (87 %) patients treatment led to a distinct esthetical improvement. The majority of the patients assessed the course of treatment positively. There were no significant differences (p < 0.05) between the groups of female and male patients on the one hand or between frontal and lateral space closure.
