Zwei Patientenbeispiele veranschaulichen diesen neuen Therapieweg.

Abstract

This article deals with the interceptive correction of horizontally growing (decompensated) Class III malocclusions in the early mixed dentition. Supraocclusal surfaces made of acrylic resin are used on deciduous molars for the correction of the decreased intermolar dimension. Due to the bite raising the mandible adapts to a posterior position and the dentition continues to erupt into a Class I relationship. Two patient documentations examplify the new type of treatment.
