Laborprozesse in der Lingualtechnik - Unterschiedliche Varianten

Zusammenfassung

Der Grundstein für eine erfolgreiche Lingualbehandlung wird mit einem optimalen technischen Ablauf im Labor gelegt. Die Ziele des Laborprozesses sind die Festlegung der Position der Brackets am Zahn und dadurch auch die Festlegung der Bracketwerte und die Herstellung einer möglichst präzisen, individuellen Bracketbasis. Diese Ziele können durch unterschiedliche Methoden erreicht werden. Vier Methoden, die nach Dr. Didier Fillion, nach Dr. Dirk Wiechmann, nach Dr. Hiro und die nach Ing. Silli, sollen hier vorgestellt und miteinander verglichen werden. Grundsätzlich unterscheiden sich die vier Methoden in der Wahl des Bracketsystems und des Modells zur Platzierung der Brackets. Auch in der Art der Positionierung der Brackets, dem Klebe- und dem Übertragungsvorgang bestehen Unterschiede. Der Vergleich macht deutlich, dass auf unterschiedlichen Wegen ein gutes Ergebnis in der Lingualtechnik erzielt werden kann. Die Wahl des Systems hängt im Wesentlichen davon ab, ob der Kieferorthopäde die Umsetzung der individuellen Bracketbasis dem eigenen Labor überlassen will oder direkt die Hersteller Wiechmann oder Silli damit beauftragt.

Abstract

Successful orthodontic treatment with lingual appliances depends on a well-organized and sophisticated laboratory-process. Objectives of the laboratory-process are the determination of the correct bracket position on the tooth and the creation of an individualized bracket base to guarantee the perfect fit on the lingual surface. There are different methods of reaching these targets. The aim of this study is to compare the laboratory procedures of four common methods known as “lingual technique of Dr. Fillion”, “lingual technique of Dr. Hiro”, “lingual technique of Dr. Dirk Wiechmann” and “lingual technique of Ing. Silli”. Different bracket systems are used for these procedures. The systems also show great differences in the casts, chosen for bracket positioning, and the method of bracket positioning itself. Trays to transfer the individualized bracket from the cast in the patient's mouth vary according to the different procedures. Compared to each other, all procedures offer the possibility to reach a perfect result in lingual orthodontics. The preference of the laboratory procedure depends on the practitioner's preference, whether to realize the bracket base in his own laboratory or to send it to Wiechmann or Silli.
