Summary

HIV infection and sexually transmitted diseases are frequent coinfections. That concerns especially patients with genital ulcer diseases (Syphilis, Herpes genitalis, Chancroid, Donovanosis and Lymphogranuloma vernereum). Patients with syphilis and untreated HIV-infection have uncommon manifestations and therapy failure of the treponemal infection.
