Zusammenfassung
Ausgehend von der aus der Literatur zu entnehmenden Tatsache, daß in Nordamerika schon
100 Jahre früher der Grad der Toleranz zwischen Hochschulmedizin, eklektischer Arzneitherapie
und Homöopathie geübt wurde, wie in Europa heute, stellt der Verfasser zunächst fest,
daß Hahnemann auf der Höhe der Wissenschaft seiner Zeit stand. Er wehrte sich jedoch
gegen unvernünftige Auswüchse der damaligen Therapie, ebenso wie wir heute. An Hand
einer Darstellung der Therapiemöglichkeiten mit dem Mittel Drosera versucht der Autorzu
zeigen, wieviel Perseveranz und harte Arbeit die gründliche Ausübung der homöopathischen
Heilmethode erfordert, und wie sehr wir uns bemühen müssen, möglichst wenig unserer
Bequemlichkeit nachzugeben.
Summary
Comparing the homoeopathic literature of the 1880ies in America and in Europe the
author shows that mutual tolerance between official medicine, the eclectic school
and homoeopathy in America was established 100 years earlier than in Europe. Another
fact from history is Hahnemann's not being an adversary to scientific medicine at
all. He was on the height of the science of his time and he did not oppose scientific
medicine. Merely some therapeutic exagge-rations were the object of his vehement Opposition
as well as other unreasonable methods are being opposed today. The author continues
by pointing out unknown therapeutic possibilities in the remedy Drosera but he cites
Hahnemann in warning the homoeopathic beginner of lots of hard and thorough work lying
ahead instead of the customary comfort and ease.
