Abstract
Organic psychosyndromes with clouded consciousness, dementia and amnesic syndromes
have been described with cerebral Whipple's disease. There is only one cursory reference
on aphasia (Knox et al., 1976). Aphasia of the Wernicke type and a disturbance of
spatial thought are described in a patient suffering from cerebral M. Whipple. The
neuropsychological findings are correlated with the results of the CAT-scan.
Zusammenfassung
Bei zerebralem M. Whipple sind als neuropsychologische Störungen lediglich organische
Psychosyndrome mit Bewußtseinstrübung, Demenzen und Amnesien bekannt. Hinsichtlich
des Auftretens von Aphasien findet sich in der Literatur nur eine einzige, kursorische
Angabe (Knox et al., 1976). Eine Aphasie vom Wernicke-Typ sowie eine Störung des räumlichen
Denkens bei einem Patienten mit zerebralem M. Whipple werden beschrieben und mit dem
computertomographischen Befund in Beziehung gesetzt.
