Erste Erfahrungen mit der simultanen kombinierten Strahlen- und zytostatischen Chemotherapie zur Beeinflussung nicht mehr beherrschbarer Schmerzen durch inoperables Tumor-wachstum im HNO-Bereich

Zusammenfassung

Patienten mit malignen HNO-Tumoren, die nach operativer, strahlen- und evtl. sogar chemotherapeutischer Vorbehandlung erneut progredient sind, kann mit einer neuartigen Therapiekombination geholfen werden. Wir stellen einen Patienten vor, der mit der kombinierten Strahlen- und zytostatischen Chemotherapie mit Cisplatin, Ifosfamid und BCNU erfolgreich behandelt worden ist. Diese Therapie bietet selbst bei mehrfach vorbehandelten Patienten eine Chance auf Tumorre-duktion. Der Erfolg der Therapie läßt sich an der Linderung der Schmerzen feststellen.

Summary

Patients with malignant tumours of the ENT, who show signs of tumour progression after operation, radiation and chemotherapy, could be treated with a new combined therapy. We present a patient who was successfully treated by combined radiation and chemotherapy with Cisplatin, Ifosfamid, and BCNU. This therapy offers a chance of tumour reduction even for repeatedly treated patients. The relief of pain proves the success of the therapy.
