Zusammenfassung

Anhand eines Fallberichtes über eine isolierte Geschmacksstörung, die unmittelbar nach der Tonsillektomie aufgetreten ist, wird die Möglichkeit der Schädigung des Nervus glossopharyngeus bei der Operation diskutiert.

Summary

This report presents a rare complication after tonsillectomy - a postoperative noticed impairment of the sense of taste. Due to its course in the parapharyngeal space the glossopharyngeal nerve can be damaged during the operation.
