Zusammenfassung

Bei 17 Patienten mit einem einseitigen und 2 Patienten mit einem doppelseitigen, zur Umgehung eines Karotis-interna-Verschlusses angelegten ATS/ACM-Bypass wurde mittels eines neuartigen cw-Ultraschall-Flowmeters der Volumenfluß in der Carotis communis vor und während Kompression des geshunteten Astes der A. temporalis superficialis gemessen. Die Differenz der beiden Werte variierte zwischen 5 und 231 ml/min bei einem Mittelwert von 83 ml/min.

Abstract

Using a novel cw Doppler flowmeter common carotid volume flow was measured before and during compression of the donor branch of the superficial temporal artery in 17 patients having a unilateral and in 2 patients having a bilateral STA/MCA by-pass for internal carotid occlusion. The difference between the two values ranged between 5 and 231 ml/min with a mean of 83 ml/min.
