Abstract
A dramatic resolution of severe depressive symptoms following carbamazepine administration
in a patient with callosal agenesis is reported. Maintenance treatment with carbamazepine
resulted in the alleviation of concomitant organic symptoms and in a marked improvement
in quality of vital functions.
Zusammenfassung
Es wird über eine dramatische Besserung schwerer depressiver Symptome nach Verabreichung
von Carbamazepin bei einer Patientin mit Agenesia corporis callosi (Balkenmangel)
berichtet. Eine Erhaltungsdosis von Carbamazepin besserte die gleichzeitigen organischen
Symptome und erbrachte eine ausgeprägte Besserung der Lebensqualität.
