Abstract

Heavy intracranial hemorrhage was found in a 4-week-old fully breast-fed infant. This was caused by severe hypoprothrombinemia following cholestatic hepatopathy with inborn α1-antitrypsin deficiency of the ZZ type. When Pi type analysing the rest of the family another ZZ type was found among the 3 children of the clinically healthy parents.

Zusammenfassung

Bei einem 4 Wochen alten vollgestillten Säugling wurde eine massive intrazerebrale Blutung diagnostiziert. Als Ursache fand sich eine ausgeprägte Hypoprothrombinämie als Folge einer cholestatischen Hepatopathie bei genetisch bedingtem α1-Antitrypsinmangel vom Phänotyp ZZ. Bei der Pi-Typisierung der übrigen Familie konnte unter den 3 Kindern der klinisch gesunden Eltern ein weiterer ZZ-Typ entdeckt werden.
