Die Cochrane Library - eine Einführung für Gastroenterologen

Zusammenfassung

Die Cochrane Library ist eine zunehmend wichtige Ressource für Daten zur Wirksamkeit von Interventionen. Vier international zusammengesetzte themenbezogene Gruppen kümmern sich darum, dass Gastroenterologie und Hepatologie in der Library gut vertreten sind. Als bekanntestes Produkt bieten systematische Übersichtsarbeiten der Cochrane Collaboration sorgfältige evaluierte Zusammenfassungen der bisher zu relevanten Fragestellungen vorhandenen klinischen Studien. Weitere Bestandteile sowie Hinweise zu Zugang und Nutzung der Datenbanken werden vorgestellt.

Abstract

The Cochrane Library is an important resource for evidence on the effectiveness of interventions in health care. The field of gastroenterology and hepatology is represented within the Cochrane Collaboraton by four Cochrane review groups. The most prominent component of the library is the database of systematic reviews, produced by the Cochrane Collaboration. These offer valid information on relevant clinical topics based on comprehensive and skilful identification, evaluation and synthesis of clinical trials. Other components, library access and an introduction into searching the library are presented.
